Blackland Sanitation Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 2, 2026
Blackland Sanitation collects information customers and prospective customers provide, including names, service addresses, email addresses, telephone numbers, service selections, account and billing information, customer communications, and information needed to provide and improve sanitation service.
How we use information
We use information to determine service availability, enroll and serve customers, administer accounts and billing, communicate about service, deliver carts, plan and operate routes, respond to support requests, maintain records, and comply with legal obligations.
SMS and mobile information
We do not share, sell, rent, or provide mobile phone numbers or SMS consent data to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
If you separately opt in to Blackland Sanitation SMS messaging, we may send recurring transactional and customer-service messages concerning enrollment, account status, billing or payment reminders, cart delivery, pickup or service notifications, schedule changes, and related service communications. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. SMS consent is optional and is not a condition of purchasing sanitation service.
We may use service providers to operate communications and other business systems on our behalf, but mobile opt-in information and consent are not shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes.
Optional marketing follow-ups
Only when you separately select a marketing opt-in checkbox, Blackland Sanitation may email enrollment reminders and promotional offers or (once enabled and compliance-reviewed) text automated marketing messages. These are separate from service notifications; neither is required to sign up. You can unsubscribe from marketing email with the link in the message and opt out of texts by replying STOP. We record the channel, permission source, and date of your affirmative choice. We do not convert older service-message consents into marketing consent.
Eligibility verification
Customers who request the Community Service Appreciation Rate may submit qualifying proof for Blackland to review. Blackland uses the submitted proof only to verify eligibility for the Service Appreciation rate, keeps the proof private, does not use it for marketing or unrelated purposes, and removes the submitted proof from Blackland's document storage after the application is approved or denied. RouteIQ may retain the resulting eligibility status, qualifying category, organization, verification method, verification timestamp, and internal audit information reasonably necessary to administer the program and prevent duplicate discounted accounts. Blackland may offer an optional third-party verification method in the future; when offered, information handled by that provider is also subject to that provider's applicable privacy terms.
Payments
Payment transactions may be processed by payment service providers. Blackland Sanitation does not need to store complete payment-card credentials in RouteIQ to provide service.
Retention and security
We retain information as reasonably necessary for service, accounting, compliance, dispute resolution, and legitimate business operations and use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards.
Your choices
You may decline optional SMS consent and still request or purchase sanitation service. If you previously opted in to SMS, reply STOP to opt out. You may contact Blackland Sanitation regarding account information or privacy questions through the contact methods published on our website.
Policy updates
We may update this policy as our services or legal requirements change. The current version will remain publicly available on this page.
